HRYL Coaches Spring 2019 Preseason Checklist
(Updated January 17, 2019)
(1) Register as a HRYL Volunteer Coach
Who: MANDATORY for All Coaches (Head and Assistant) over 18 years old
When: Before first game, then every season thereafter

Step 1: Click on Begin Registration from the HRYL 2019 Spring Lacrosse Coach Volunteers section (bottom)
Step 2: Establish an account (if you do not have one already)
Step 3: Enter your information as requested
(2) Read and complete 2019 NVYLL Coaches Code of Conduct and Coach Certification Survey
Who: MANDATORY for All Coaches (Head and Assistant)
When: Before first game, then every season thereafter

(3) US Lacrosse Level 1 Online Training
Who: MANDATORY for Head Coaches, if did not take Instructional course; OPTIONAL, but highly recommended for all other coaches.
When: Before first game; need to be a US Lacrosse Member:

Cost: Only available and Free to US Lacrosse Members
(4) US Lacrosse Level 1/2/3 Instructional Clinic
Who: Level 1 MANDATORY for Head Coaches, if did not take online course; OPTIONAL, but highly recommended for all other coaches.

Level 1 Clinc date: Feb. 24, 2019 at 1pm - Marymount University Lee Center Arlington, VA
Cost: $75/$90 - reimbursement by request to NVYLL
NOTE: Per NVYLL rules, failure to take US Lacrosse Level 1 course (either online or clinic) will result in the parent Club being fined $50.00 per team.
(5) Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA) - Double Goal Coach: Coaching for Winning and Life Lessons
Who: MANDATORY for All Coaches (Head and Assistant)
When/Where: Online Class or Local Clinic

Cost: $30 - reimbursement by request to NVYLL
(6) NVYLL - US Lacrosse Potomac Chapter Coaches Clinic - Season Kickoff
Who: All Coaches (Head and Assistant) - One coach per team required
When: Sunday, February 24, 2019 @ 8am to 12:30pm
Where: Marymount University, 2807 North Glebe Road, Arlington, VA 22207

(7) Concussion Awareness Training
Who: All Coaches (Head and Assistant)

Who: MANDATORY for all coaches
