Marshall High School Lady Statesmen Lacrosse has created a lacrosse clinic for all levels of lacrosse players.

Beginners: Have fun learning the great game of lacrosse! NO EQUIPMENT NEEDED!

The Intermediate/Advanced session is aimed to challenge players and sharpen their skills before the season starts. The Clinic will prepare intermediate students for Spring Tryouts for with their respective youth teams.

When: Monday, January 30 2012 (Teacher Work Day! Stay Active!!)
Where: GCM Gyms
Time: 9 a.m-2 p.m.

Registration for the Spring 2012 season of the Herndon-Reston Youth Lacrosse (HRYL) league is now open. Click on 2012 Online Registration on the left hand menu.

A couple of changes this year. For boys the new age cut-off date is now August 31st of the previous year to season. Also this year we have added a "Truck" category to our list of parent volunteer activities.  We need someone(s) with a regular sized pickup truck to help us move goals and other equipment between various fields during the season.

Player evaluatiions will be held in February at Herndon High School - Rear Turf Field, weather permitting.

Boys - Saturdays - 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm - schedule TBD
- U15
- U13
- U11

Girls - Sundays
- Grades 3/4 - 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm
- Grades 5/6 - 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm
- Grades 7/8 - 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm

The final schedule will be published in January.

The 2011 spring season saw Northern Virginia Youth Lacrosse League (NVYLL) continue its amazing rate of growth.  As a result of this continued growth, NVYLL scheduled 2,291 games (1482 boys and 809 girls) and crowned 21 champions.

Last season, the 24 Clubs of NVYLL fielded 313 boys teams (up 31 from last year) and 175 girls teams (up 24 teams) for a total of 488 teams.  These teams were comprised of 8,993 players (5,810 boys and 3,183 girls) an increase of 1.247 players (671 boys and 576 girls).  This represents a 16 percent increase in the number of players from the previous season.

From 2010 to 2011, the Herndon-Reston Youth Lacrosse (HRYLL) boys program grew 16 percent (159 to 184 players) while the girls program grew 21 percent (135 to 163 players).  Click http://files.leagueathletics.com/Text/Documents/3101/28509.xls, then select the 'HER' tab to see the growth data for HRYL.
