posted 10/31/2011 The 2011 spring season saw Northern Virginia Youth Lacrosse League (NVYLL) continue its amazing rate of growth. As a result of this continued growth, NVYLL scheduled 2,291 games (1482 boys and 809 girls) and crowned 21 champions.
Last season, the 24 Clubs of NVYLL fielded 313 boys teams (up 31 from last year) and 175 girls teams (up 24 teams) for a total of 488 teams. These teams were comprised of 8,993 players (5,810 boys and 3,183 girls) an increase of 1.247 players (671 boys and 576 girls). This represents a 16 percent increase in the number of players from the previous season.
From 2010 to 2011, the Herndon-Reston Youth Lacrosse (HRYLL) boys program grew 16 percent (159 to 184 players) while the girls program grew 21 percent (135 to 163 players). Click
