Herndon / Reston Youth Lacrosse plays in the Northern Virginia Youth Lacrosse League.

Herndon / Reston Youth Lacrosse is an all volunteer organization that operates through the volunteer efforts by each of our player's parents.

NVYLL Boys Teams to Play in the US Lacrosse Youth Festival

Attention Lacrosse Parents,

NVYLL will be holding tryouts for the boys' U13 & U15 US Lacrosse Youth Festival teams over the next two Sundays.

The players do not have to be US Lacrosse members for the tryouts but will be required to become members if they are selected for the team.

The cost to players will be $500 for both the U13s and U15s if selected to make the trip.

The tryout sessions for the US Lacrosse Youth Festival Boys U13 and U15 teams are Sunday May 18. The details are as follows:

Boys U13 Festival

The U13s will be playing at Lebanon Sports Complex in Kings Island, Ohio on June 13th through 15th. The trip is approximately 9 hours and the players will leave by bus the night before the event and will return late in the evening on the 15th. Meals, transportation and lodging are included (plus time at the Water Park).

Tournament Fee: $500 per player

Boys U15 Festival

The U15s will be playing at the Golden Goal Complex in Lake George, New York on June 20th through June 22nd. The trip is approximately 12 hours and again will leave the day before and return early on May 23rd. Meals, transportation and lodging are included.

Tournament Fee: $500 per player

Player’s name, group (U13 or U15), club affiliation and preferred position

PLAYER NEEDS TO BRING THE FOLLOWING TO THE TRYOUT:

Players are to bring all required equipment -- helmets, mouthpieces, shoulder pads, arm pads, gloves and sticks. Players should also bring plenty of water. Players are not to wear any clothing with club or team names.

Day/Date: Sunday, May 18

Location: St. Stephen's & St. Agnes Upper (High) School, Alexandria, VA

The tryout will be held on the lacrosse field behind the school.

Directions -- From Shirley Highway (I-395), take Exit 4, Seminary Road east. Follow Seminary Road for about one mile. At the fifth traffic light, turn right onto St. Stephen's Road. Campus will be on your right.

BOYS U13

Registration: 1:30

Tryout Session: 2pm to 4pm

Fee: No fee for tryouts

BOYS U15

Registration: 3:30

Tryout Session: 4pm to 6pm

Fee: No fee for tryouts

We will be taking team pictures next week. Please get the picture information sheet from your child's coach. All pictures will be taken at Herndon Middle School. The schedule is:

FRIDAY MAY 9th

5:30 - 5:50   Boys U-9 and U11C

5:50 - 6:10   Boys U11B and U13C

6:10 - 6:30   Boys U13A and U15C

6:30 - 6:50   Boys U15B and U15A

SATURDAY MAY 10th

11:30 - 11:50 Girls U9 and U11B
